David Elton Dupler

June 22, 1939 - February 25, 2017

David Elton Dupler, age 77, of Cache passed away on February 25, 2017 at the home of his daughter, Susan Roskam, following an eight-month battle with cancer.
David was born in Wilson, Oklahoma on June 22, 1939 to Lawton and Lola (Bevill) Dupler. He was one of twelve children. David married Linda Hoffman on February 13, 1960 and were married for fifty-one years. He was a long-time construction worker, first working with his father Lawton and brother Bob before being hired by Wicker Construction as a construction supervisor. He retired after a long career with Wicker Construction. He would say he was a man of few words; but his word was good as gold. He loved tinkering with his cars and working in his yard. He was often seen working around the yard and his house. He devoted the last years of his life to his brother who is in a nursing home, often taking him on rides around Lawton and the Wichita Mountains. One of his favorite memories was working at Craterville Park, where he washed swimming suits as a young boy and teenager.
Preceded in death by his loving wife, Linda Dupler; son Devin Dupler; daughter Deborah Diane Carrow; four grandchildren, Jayson, James and David Roskam and Ryan Dupler; his parents; four brothers, Roy Dupler, Carl Dupler, Jerry Dupler, Dale Dupler and sister Patsy Thomason, David is survived by his daughter Susan Roskam and husband Kyle; three granddaughters, Rachel Roskam of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Angela Dupler of Bethany, Oklahoma and Catherine Carrow of Cache; one grandson Johnathon Carrow of Cache; four great grandchildren, Devin David Dupler, Oren Carrow, Mae Carrow and Annakah Dupler; three brothers, Robert (Bob) Dupler of Lawton, Glen Dupler of Van Alstyne, Texas and Daniel Dupler of North Richland Hills, Texas and three sisters, Betty Holloway of Royce City, Texas, Judy Johnson of Watauga, Texas and Nancy Roach of Cache.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the American Cancer Association or your local church.
Graveside services for David E. Dupler will be on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Cache Cemetery.
The family will have a visitation on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service.
