FRANCES LORENE WOODS

December 03, 1935 - June 08, 2017

Services for Frances Lorene Woods, 81, of Tupelo are 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Tupelo Church of Christ, Wendell Ingram will officiate. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery near Clarita.

Mrs. Woods passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017 at a Coalgate nursing home. She was born December 3, 1935 in Coal County to W. M. (Madison) and Fannie Sanders Foreman. She attended Pleasant Hill and Clarita schools.

She married Billy Joe Woods December 22, 1951. He preceded her in death March 15, 2014. Mrs. Woods was a homemaker and a rancher.

Survivors include a daughter, Marie Shoemaker of Tupelo; a son, Larry Woods and wife Kathy of Tupelo; four grandchildren, Charity Eidson and husband Terry of Tupelo, Chris Woods and wife Taylor of Latta, Chad Woods and wife Cierra of Latta and Lisa Shoemaker of Tupelo; her great-grandchildren, Kamryn Choate, Karsyn Woods, Hudson Woods, Jace Eidson, Jayce Eddings and expecting a great-grandson, Tripp Woods.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Madison and Fannie Foreman; her husband, Billy Joe Woods; a daughter, Joy Arlene Woods; sister, Margie Virginia Stone; a son-in-law, Ted Shoemaker; and a grandson, Timothy Woods.

Bearers will be the men of the Tupelo Church of Christ.
