Funeral services for Benny Joe Villerreal, a former resident of Coalgate, were held Monday, January 12, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown's Funeral Chapel with Rev. Hannah Bryan officiating. Burial was in Round Lake cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service of Coalgate.
Mr. Villerreal was born May 4, 1955 in Owatana, MN to Pete and Martha Mendoza Ramirez and passed away January 8, 2009 in Dallas, TX at the age of 53. He graduated from East Central University in Ada with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources. He was a counselor, married Jacqueline Kay Murphy on March 29, 1976 in Coalgate, and was affiliated with Round Lake Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife Jacqueline Villarreal of Dallas, TX; three sons, Daniel Ramirez, Michael Villarreal, and Quincy Ramirez; one daughter, Maria Montiel and husband Carlos of Dallas, TX; parents, Pete and Martha Ramirez of Dallas, TX; grandparents, Cruz and Josefa Garcia of Hereford, TX; three sisters, Beatrice Amola, Sylivia Reyes, and Christina Ramirez; one brother, Rufus Ramirez; along with ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Danny Ramirez.
Casketbearers were Michael Villarreal, Daniel Ramirez, Quincy Ramirez, Maria Montiel, Rufus Ramirez, and Eugene Reyes. Honorary bearers were Phillip Murphy, Loren Boyd, Carlos Montiel, Israel Guel, Andy Arriola, Adam Ramirez, Robert Murphy, Anthony Murphy, David Burns, Noah Burris and Dale Ennis.
