Carol Jean (McAusland) Bailey, a Coalgate resident, was born on April 22, 1955, to Roy Lee and Eddie Ellen (Blevins) McAusland, at Coalgate, OK. She passed away on July 22, 2022 at Shawnee, OK at the age of 67 years and 3 months. Carol graduated from Tupelo High School in 1973. In 1992, she obtained her Cosmetology License at the Vo-Tech. Carol worked at Wrangler and was a home health provider. She retired in 1995. Carol was a Military Police Officer in the Navy and was stationed in Guam for four years. She married M.L. Bailey on November 24, 2007 at Centrahoma, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on March 4, 2021. Carol was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and in the Name of Jesus Christ Church. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, gardening and spending time with her dogs, Charlie and Pooh Bear.
