SIMON YOUNG

ADA-Services for Simon Young, 76, of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Morris Memorial Baptist Church, Rev. David Lee Fortner will officiate. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Young died Monday, February 4, 2013 at his home. He was born March 10, 1936 at Globe, Oklahoma to James Kelcie and Martha Ann Holman Young. He lived in the communities of Lula and Lightning Ridge before moving to Ada.

He married Patsy Mae Fortner on February 17, 1957. She preceded him in death on March 21, 2010. Mr. Young worked at Wickham Packing Company and Reeves Packing Company and later started his own trucking company. Mr. Young gave selflessly to anyone in need.

Survivors include a son, James Clay Young and his wife Jana, of Ada; a daughter, Elane Wiggins and her husband David of Cloudcroft, New Mexico; his grandchildren, Colton Young and Krisha Young, both of Ada, and Kelsey Marsh of Cloudcroft and Brooke Marsh of Killeen, TX; a sister, Lovoyce Rushing of Coalgate; and 33 nieces and nephews.

Bearers will be Jerry McDaniel, Andy Murray, Ron Holman, Steve McDaniel, Kenneth Fortner and Donny Sweat.
