Funeral services for Jack Palmer, a Stonewall resident, were held Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Brown's Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Mr. Arvel Hall officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery with the arrangements under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service of Coalgate.
Mr. Palmer was born May 12, 1923 in Bromide, OK to Columbus P and Nancy (Watson) Palmer and passed away July 16, 2011 in Coalgate, OK at the age of 88. He attended Bromide school and worked as an equipment technician at Ada Block Company for over 30 years. He enjoyed ranching, working cattle and poultry. He married Leatrice Ware on October 16, 1946. She preceded him in death in 2002.
Survivors include children, diana Dob and husband Roy of Wagoner, OK, Vicki Pickens of Durant, OK, Gerry Palmer and wife Brenda of Weatherford, TX, Anthony Palmer and wife Robin of Tupelo, OK; grandchildren Kristy, Isreal, Michelle, Kelli, Marie, Caylea and Victoria; great granchildren Nikki, Cody, Katti, Derek, Trent, Rylee, Sachi and Theus; great great grandchild Teagan; along with many nieces, nephews and numerous other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Leatrice (Ware) Palmer; parents, Columbus P. and Nancy (Watson) Palmer, 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
