Services for Monetta Iann Brooks Jackson, 82, of Tyler, TX, formerly of Ada will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Criswell Funeral Home, Rev. Joe Nemecek will officiate. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Jackson passed away Monday, February 3, 2025, in Tyler, Texas. She was born in Lula, Oklahoma on January 2, 1943, to I.N. and Ruby Brooks, they later moved to Velma Alma, Oklahoma.
She married Terry Dean Jackson Sr. on February 27, 1958, in Coalgate, Oklahoma, they were married almost 67 years. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and brother, Noah Brooks.
She is survived her loving husband Terry Jackson, of the home; two sons, Terry Dean Jackson Jr., of Chapel Hill, Texas and Todd Bishop Jackson of Tyler, Texas; daughter-in-law Donella Kay Jackson of Whitehouse, Texas; older sister Sue Stidham McFerran of Henryetta, Oklahoma. She was blessed with 3 grandchildren, Tailor Don Charlton and husband Michael Charlton of Overton, Texas, Rheanna Nicole Jackson of Ardmore, Oklahoma, and Terry Dean Jackson III (TREY) of Chapel Hill, Texas and further gifted with 5 great-grandchildren, Charlie Charlton, Ella Charlton, Luke Charlton, and Milo Charlton, all of Overton, Texas, and Willow Rain Jackson of Ardmore, Oklahoma.
She had the biggest heart, she never met a stranger, and if you were in her close nit family and friends you would never have to buy another piece of clothing. She would buy whatever she thought everybody needed and wanted and loved to go shopping. Bearers will be Rory Ward, David Jackson, Dale Jackson, Andy Brooks, James Ross, Dalton Lewis, Tony Stidham, and Tim Stidham. Honorary Bearer will be Christian Jackson.
