Services for Lequita Estalene Jackson, 92, of Coalgate are 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 1, 2024, at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel; Mr. Wendell Ingram will officiate. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Stonewall.
Mrs. Jackson passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2024, in Coalgate. She was born July 31, 1932, in Tupelo, OK to Tony and Mary Josephine King Angel. Mrs. Jackson graduated from Tupelo High School and was the manager at Wrangler for 38 years until her retirement.
On July 27, 1951, she married Coil Jackson. He preceded her in death December 3, 2010.
She loved coke and chocolate covered cherries and was engaged in babysitting many in the community. Mrs. Jackson kept her two grandchildren and two great grandchildren, Melissa Ellis, John Whitlock, Levi Ellis, and Margrett Whitlock every day.
She is survived by her three daughters, Mary Inman and husband, Chad of Stonewall, Connie Morris and husband, David of Stratford, and Amellia "Amie" Ellis of Ada; adopted daughter, Alice Warrior of Konawa; three sisters, Margrett Johnston of Coalgate, Doris Myers of Miami, FL, and Lorene Caruthers; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Coil Jackson; and son-in-law, Russell Whitlock.
Bearers are Levi Ellis, John Whitlock, Chad Inman, Louis Warrior, and Sunhawk Hill.
