CARL GRISSOM

STONEWALL-Graveside services for Carl Auburn Grissom, 87, Stonewall are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Rev. Bob Langston will officiate. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.

Mr. Grissom died Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the Veterans Center in Ardmore. He was born December 11, 1923 in Hartford, Arkansas to William Andrew and Blanche Beatrice Stinnett Grissom.

He married Archie Dean Stinnett Grissom in 1981. She died on June 1, 2011. Mr. Grissom was a painter until his retirement and had served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He was a Prisoner of War during World War II.

Survivors include four daughters; one son; nine step-children; two brothers; one sister; and other relatives and friends.
