ADA-Services for Charlie Gerald Echols, 63, Ada, are 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Richard Winters will officiate. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Echols died Friday, Jan. 15, 2016, at Sulphur. He was born June 4, 1952, to E. W. and Mattie Clara Bullard Echols at Tupelo. He retired from the United States Army as a petroleum supply specialist and served in the National Guard at Konawa. Mr. Echols was a member of the Konawa Church of Christ.
He and Linda Marie Sharp were married Feb. 6, 1980, at Vernon, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Linda, of the home; a daughter, Carrie Ware of Ada; a son, Charlie Echols and his wife Nico of Francis; six grandchildren, Tyler Ware, Hayden Ware, Haylee Echols, Rylee Echols, Milee Echols and Paislee Echols; his father, E.W. Echols of Tupelo; one brother, Gary Echols and his wife Brenda of Purcell; three sisters, Kathleen McGowan and her husband Robert of Tupelo, Karen Burris and her husband Noah of Coalgate, and Rebecca Saint and her husband Bill of Stonewall.
He was preceded in death by C.B. and Clara Anderson; and a nephew Parker McKenzie.
Bearers will be Mike Boren, Chet Boykin, Larry Nichols, James Bryant, Mike Jackson and Kenneth Crane.
