Billy Ray Compton, age 70, a Shawnee, OK resident, was born on Thursday, July 30, 1953, to Roy and Wanda Faye (Bellgard) Compton, at Eureka, CA.Billy passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Shawnee, OK. He graduated from Capital Hill High School. Billy was a Mechanic. Billy proudly served his country in The Army. He married Jane Hamman on Monday, July 31st, 1972 at Oklahoma City, OK. Billy was of the baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing, camping, dominoes, horses, chickens, watching soap operas, spending time outdoors especially with his grandchildren, and playing video games.
Billy is survived by his wife, Jane Compton of the home in Shawnee, OK; daughter, Kimberley Guffey of Allen, OK; sons, Billy Compton Jr. and Sherri Pece of Oklahoma City, OK, Robert Compton of Shawnee, OK; grandchildren, David, Ben, Jake, Tifffeny, Brandon, Erin, Deanna and Jacob, Katelynn, Cody; great grandchildren, Haddie, Haydian, Jett, Josh, Peyton, Averie, Alex; sister, Brenda Carroll of Oklahoma City, OK; brother, Duane Compton and wife Debbie of Meeker, OK, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear and loved friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Wanda Faye (Bellgard) Compton; son, Joshua Compton; siblings, Robert, Doug, Buster, Jerri, Lynn
