Zelda Juanita (Walker) Ridley, a Coalgate resident, was born on March 3, 1922, to Moffett Cleveland and Ada Pearl (Crane) Walker, at Tecumseh, Oklahoma. She passed away on March 22, 2024, at Coalgate, Oklahoma, at the age of 102 years and 19 days.
Zelda graduated from Clarita High School with the Class of ’38. She began nursing at the Byrd Clinic under Dr. Wallace Byrd and then Dr. R.J. Helton.
Zelda married Raymond Ralph Ridley on December 18, 1940, at Coalgate, Oklahoma. They enjoyed many years together before his passing. She was a member of the Coalgate Church of Christ. She enjoyed quilting and sewing.
