Funeral Services for Mrs. Lois Lorene Denson Olin, 96, of Wapanucka, Oklahoma were held on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2015 at 2:00 p. m. at the First Baptist Church in Wapanucka with Rev. Kenneth McCarthick officiating. Interment followed in the Moore Cemetery at Clarita, Oklahoma. Mrs. Olin passed away on November 30th, 2015 at the Ada Care Center in Ada, Oklahoma.  

Lorene was born on June 26, 1919 in Cloudy, Oklahoma to Melmer Nelson and Helen (Lassiter) Nelson. She graduated from high school in Clarita, Oklahoma and sometime later she went to work as the cafeteria manager for Murray State College in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, from which she retired. Lorene was married to the father of her two sons, Woodrow Denson and after his death to Chapin “Doc” Olin who also preceded her in death. She was also a member of the Wapanucka First Baptist Church.   Mrs. Olin was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Hershel Denson in 1994, a sister, Maurine Arnold and two brothers, Sam & Floyd Nelson. 

She is survived by her son, Doug Denson and wife Emma of Ada, Oklahoma, her daughter-in-law, Carol Denson of Olney, Oklahoma, five grandchildren, Bret, Kent, John, Kenny and Kyle, eleven great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, two brothers, Doyle Nelson of Clarita and Glenn Nelson of Skiatook, Oklahoma, a sister, Ellaree George of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and other relatives and friends. 

Pallbearers for the service were: Mrs. Olin’s grandsons. Honorary Bearers were: Alan Cribbs, Fred Johnson, Tommy Perry, Bill Perry, Leonard Hatter, Buddy White and Darwin Hall.
