Funeral services for Norman Lawrence Livingston, a resident of Lehigh, OK, were held Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Brown's Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Rev. Bob Trail officiating. Burial was in Moore Cemetery with Brown's Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Livingston was born September 3, 1932 at Olney, OK to Herman Hope Livingston and Leara Lawrence Livingston and passed away July 25, 2010 at Lehigh at the age of 77. He graduated from Olney High School in 1950 and attended Eastern College in Wilburton. In April 1995 he married Lois Keeler in Gainsville, TX. Norman was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Korean War. He worked in construction, was a carpenter and also had worked at the Army Ammunition Plant in Savanna, OK.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Livingston of Lehigh, OK; children, Sue Patti of Longview, TX, Paula Powell and husband Dale of Lehigh, Herma Harris of Coalgate and Allen Livingston and wife Angela of Atoka; sister, Norma Golden and husband Ruel of Coalgate; mother of his children, Mattie Livingston of Coalgate, OK; fourteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; step children, LaDonna Thompson, Misty Miklaucic, Annie Miklaucic and Joe Miklaucic; twelve step grandchildren; eight step great grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Norma Zell Kelley, sons, Norman Lawrence Livingston,Jr., and Herman Jeffery Livingston; and great granddaughter, Katyn Renae Powell.
Casketbearers were Justin Barnett, Mickey Rose, Joseph Miklaucic, Tony Boyd, E.A. Gossett, and Vince Ott. Honorary bearers were Ruel Golden, Sock James, J. B. Blua, Ray Jordan, Jim Davis and Lori McCarty.
