Funeral services for Gordon Cameron-Stuart, a McAlester area resident, will be held Wedneday, February 9, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown's Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Pastor Chip Lott officiating. Burial was in Moore Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service of Coalgate.

Mr. Cameron-Stuart was born August 26, 1939 at Albuquerque, NM to Clyde C. and Vera (Gison) Stuart and passed away February 3, 2011 at Oklahoma City at the age of 71. He attended Las Vegas High School, and graduated from Chaminade University of Honolul with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. On June 23, 1981 he married Barbara Hampton at Vernon, TX. Gordon was a Senior Case Manager of OK State Prison in McAlester where he served as Sunday School Superintendent and bus driver. He was a veteran of the US Army serving three tours. Decorations he received were Bronze Star Medal w/ 3OLC, Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Viet Nam Service Medal w.6 Battle Stars, Armed Forces Reserve medal, RVN Campaign Ribbon w/Device, Novice, Senior & master Parachute Wings, Imperial Iranian Parachute Wings w/2 Stars & Wreath, Special Forces, Unit Awards, Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon, RVN Cross of Gallantry w/Palm, and RVN Civic Actions Medal.

Survivors include his wife Barbara Cameron-Stuart of the home in McAlester; grandson, Bobby Hall-Thompson of the home in McAlester; children, William Bruce Cameron-Stuart of Lutz, FL, James Duane Cameron-Stuart of Cache, OK, Jim Fred Hall of McAlester, and Sandra Mae Hall-Burke and husband Jason of Hartshorne; grandchildren, Brian Cameron-Stuart, Thomas Cameron-Stuart, Thanatos (TJ) Cameron-Stuart, Lilly Burke, Emily Burke; great grandchildren, Skylar Cameron-Stuart; brother, James B. Cameron-Stuart of Houston, TX; sisters, Jean Smith and husband Jesse of Hurst, TX and Lyn Rhinehart and husband Lloyd of Biloxi, MS; along with numerous other relatives and many dear and loved friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, "Little Chief" Cameron-Stuart and Alex Cameron-Stuart.

Casketbearers will be John Hampton, Keith Hampton, David Hampton, Todd Coats, Steven Hampton, Chase Hampton, Frank Hampton, Ron Hampton and Robert Hampton.
