Funeral services for Baley Levi Eddings, a longtime Coalgate resident, were held Monday, May 9, 2011 at Coalgate Church of Christ atr 2:00 p.m. with Mr. Lloyd McElhaney officiating. Burial was in McCarty Cemetery with Brown's Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Eddings was born July 25, 1924 in Coalgate to Frank and Caroline (Criner) Eddings and passed away May 5, 2011 in Coalgate at the age of 86. he attended Rock Creek Elementary School. On April 23, 1954 Baley married Christine Dudley in Atoka. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army (servind during WWII), was a rancher, and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Eddings of the home; son, Richard "Rick" Eddings and wife Karen of Coalgate; daughters, Deborah "Debbie" Krebbs and husband Charles of Moore and Kay Blunck and husband David of Norman; grandchildren, Jason and Mandy Eddings, Shane and Kristi Eddings, Amanda Eddings, LaTosha and Brandon Dinsmore, Garrett Krebbs, Devin Blunck, Samuel Blunch, and Roy Hopkins; great grandchildren, Jaycee Eddings, Mike Greenlee, Kaylin and Abby Shropshire, Kaitlyn, Dakota, Madison and Caleb: sisters, Bethel Lee of Coalgate and Ella Mae Todd of Ada; brother, Elmo Eddings of Tahlequah; along with numerous other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Orville Eddings, J.C. Eddings and Bill Eddings and sisters, Alice Eddings and Jessie Greenshaw.
Casketbearers were Morris Eddings, Bob Cody, Shane Sallee, Tim Rushing, Bob Eddings, and Frank Cometti. Honorary bearers wer Delbert Inman and Bob Sprague.
