Carrie Gayle (Ott) Salinas, a Coalgate resident, was born on December 17, 1959, to Virgil Oliver and Freda Louise (Carnes) Ott, at Talihina, OK. She passed away on March 12, 2023 at Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 63 years, 2 months and 23 days. Carrie graduated from R.L. Turner High School then attended Brookhaven Junior College. She was a compliance auditor for Choctaw Nation and retired in 2015. Carrie married Joe Salinas on January 2, 1982 at Central Park Baptist Church in Carrollton, Texas. She was a member of the Lonestar Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Carrie liked going to thrift stores and watching the OU Sooners. Her favorite times were spent with her two Grandsons "Chief" and "Koda Bear".
