Funeral services for LaPaula Mae (Kuhn) Talley, a longtime Coal County resident, will be held Friday, January 7, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Lehigh Baptist Church with Rev. John Grubbs and Rev. Richard Magby officiating. Burial will be in Lehigh Cemetery with Brown's Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements. Family night will be Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Mrs. Talley was born August 12, 1932 in Lehigh, OK to Frankie and Pauline(Polk) Kuhn and passed away January 2, 2011 at her home in Lehigh, OK at the age of 78 years. She attended and graduated from Coalgate High School and married Charles H. Talley on October 12, 1972. Paula was a clerk at the Mary Hurley Hospital and a member of the Lehigh Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Talley and wife Regina of Lehigh and Shayne Talley and wife Lisa of Coalgate; grandchildren, Shelby Talley, Brianna Talley, Shawyna and Keith Bryant, Tamra and Tommy Burgess; four great grandchildren; sisters, Francine York and husband Ed of Dallas, TX, Colleen Sain and husband Don of Lehigh, Carol Pipkin and husband Marvin of OKC; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and grandparents, Pascal and Love Polk.
Casketbearers will be Wayne Blue, Paul Edward Calvert, David Townsend, Mike Hensley, John Faulkenberry and Barry Roberts. Honorary bearers will be R. D. Jones, Rick Heinze and Tammy Palmer.
