Alvin Wayne Johnson, a Coalgate resident, was born on April 13, 1930, to William Roscoe and Jennie Myrtie (Gearhart) Johnson at Siloam Springs, AR. He passed away on April 27, 2023 at Coalgate, OK at the age of 93 years and 14 days. Al attended Mark Twain Public Roosevelt Junior High in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and graduated from Jaybird High School in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. He enjoyed buying and selling at Flea Markets. Al married Linda Lou Kuhlman in 1950 in San Antonio, Texas. He later married Rosa Burden in 1998 in Coalgate, Oklahoma. Al was a member of the Cottonwood Baptist Church and the Coalgate Methodist Church. He was an Adjudant for Camp #2259 Sons of the Confederate Veterans of Oklahoma.

Children: Nancy Lee, Sherry Lynn, Cynthia Yvonne, Karen Denise and Alvin Jr

Joan McKay, Denise McKay, Dana Derrick,

Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews
