Zona Faye Davis

Funeral services for Zona Faye (Stevens) Davis, a Coalgate resident, were held Sunday, February 20, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown's Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Rev. Steve Havner officiating, assisted by Rev. Larry Eastman. Burial was in Lehigh Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service of Coalgate.

Zona Faye was born April 13, 1933 in Olney, OK to John Henry and Arizona (Dunn) Stevens and passed away February 17, 2011 in Coalgate at the age of 77. She attended Olney High School and married Joe Don Davis on November 1, 1947. He preceded her death on March 3, 1971. Zona Faye was a member of the Assembly God Church of Coalgate.

Survivors include her children, Jim Davis and wife Nancy of Coalgate, Susie Davidson of Olney, and David Davis and wife Sarah of Durant; brothers, Randel Stevens and wife Yavon of Andrews, TX and Daryl Stevens and wife Wilma of Spencer, OK; sisters, Vivian Norman of Newton, MS and Pat Gibbs of Chandler, OK; special helper, Linda Ayers; eleven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter, Barbara Eastman; brothers, Bill Stevens, Stanley Stevens and Johnny Stevens and son-in-law Clayton Davidson.

Casketbearers were Shawn Davidson, Cory Eastman, Jerry Davis, Joe Hamer, Davey Davis and Glenn Burnett. Honorary bearers were Bobby Miles, Ray Jordan, Billy Haworth, Nickey Beal, Howard Ables and David Ward.
