Floyd Junior Smith, age 76, longtime Coalgate OK resident was born on February 13, 1930, in Ashland OK to Robert and Becky (Flood) Smith. He passed away December 2, 2006, in Coalgate at the age of 76. He attended school in Ashland and Van Horn OK. He married Carol Ann Meaders in Coalgate on June 13, 1952. He was a rancher. Floyd was a member of the Cottonwood Baptist Church and the VFW. He loved blue grass music and hunting wolves and coon hunting.

He is survived by his daughters Vickie Frazier and husband James of Coalgate, and Pam Hensley and husband Mike of Lehigh OK; grandchildren Michelle Wilson and husband Justin of Ada OK, Valorie Walters and husband Wade of Ada, Dee Hensley and wife Leona of Coalgate, and Gary Hensley of Lehigh; great-grandchildren Colton Wilson, Michael Hensley, and Autum Hensley; sister Rosie Lamb of McAlester OK; numerous nieces and nephews; and many dear and loved friends.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; wife Carol Ann Smith on Dec 1, 2005; brothers John Smith, Els Smith, Andrew Smith, and Hubert Smith; sisters Sara Glass, Dorothy Glass, Bessie Sallee, and Laverne Elzy.
