Don Thomas Lewis, age 77, a long time Coalgate resident. He was born on November 7, 1941, to Denver Lewis and Nettie Mae (Latham) Washburn, at Wardville, OK. Don passed away on July 16, 2019 at OKC, OK. He attended school at Limestone Gap through the 8 th grade and then attended & graduated from Coalgate High School in 1959.

Don was a well known smiling face at Sonny's Grocery Store since 1956, he claimed to be semi retired but still worked at the grocery store 3 days a week.The other days of the week he was a full time farmer taking care of his hay & cattle.

Don married Donna Kay Holland on July 10, 1962 at Coalgate, she preceded him in death on January 7, 2010. Don enjoyed farming, gardening, and his family.

Don is survived by his daughters: Dana Wood of Coalgate, OK Susan Sallee & husband Shane of Coalgate, OK, and son: Don Thomas Lewis Jr. & Robbin of Tupelo, OK. Grandchildren: David Wood of Coalgate, OK, Laura Wood of Coalgate, OK, Samantha Wood of Coalgate, OK, Kyndall Lewis & wife Felicia of Coalgate, OK Bradlee Lewis of Coalgate, OK, Morgan Lemons of Ada, OK. Maecie Lemons of Tupelo, OK. 13 Great Grandchildren, Sisters: Carolyn Paxton & husband Dean of Garland, TX, Camellia Washburn of Coalgate, OK Betty Keilty & husband Robert of Coalgate, OK, Priscillia Lee & husband Doug of Byng, OK Judith Leatherbury of Davis, OK. Brothers: Ronnie Washburn of Coalgate, OK, Roy Washburn of Coalgate, OK Tim Lewis & wife Karen of Lone Grove, OK. Sister-in-law: Brenda Bortisser of Okmulgee, OK, Brother-in-law: Dale Holland & wife Velma of Checotah, OK along with numerous friends and other relatives

He was Preceded in death by Father: Denver Everett Lewis, Mother Nettie Mae Washburn. Brothers: Don Evert Lewis & William "Bobo" Washburn, Step-father: William "Bill" Washburn, Sister-in-law: Rebecca Washburn and Step-mother: Ruby Lewis ******************************************************************************
