Walter Lee Hogue

Walter Lee Hogue, a Coalgate resident, was born on June 6, 1931, to Charles Walter and Frances “Fannie” Elvira (Day) Hogue, at Tupelo, OK. He passed away on March 7, 2022 at Coalgate, OK at the age of 90 years, 9 months and 1 day.

Walter attended Tupelo Schools. He was a technician for the Coal County Soil Conservation District. Walter served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married Inez Wilson on September 15, 1951 at Coalgate, OK. They spent 68 wonderful years together. Walter was a member and deacon of the Cottonwood Baptist Church where he loved to attend. He enjoyed gardening and working on small engines and tractors. Walter enjoyed helping people and spending time with family. He made everyone feel like family.

SURVIVED BY: Son: Edward Hogue and wife Dianne of Coalgate, OK, Grandsons: Dustin Hogue and wife Valarie of Seminole, OK Jonathan Hogue and wife Jerri of Coalgate, OK Great Grandchildren: Haven Hogue, Jay Hogue, Christian Hogue, Stevie Jo Hogue and Carter Hogue Nieces: Paula Impson of Coalgate, OK Phyllis Taylor of Union City, OK Along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of dearly loved friends.
