Funeral services for James "Jag" Anthony Gwinn were held Friday, July 31, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown's Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Pastor Tim Allen officiating. Burial was in Coalgate Cemetery with Brown's Funeral Service of Coalgate with arrangements under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service of Coalgate.
Mr. Gwinn was born September 19, 1974 in Warner, OK to James Byrd and Gloria (Riley) Gwinn and passed away July 27, 2009 in Muskogee, Ok at the age of 34. He attended Warner Public Schools and was fork lift operator for Cedar Creek Lumber in Broken Arrow, OK. James enjoyed riding motorcycles and loved OU football.
Survivors include one daughter, Heather Marie Gwinn of Porum, OK; father James B. Gwinn of Coalgate; mother, Gloria Overbey and husband Jim of Porum, OK; brother, Wesley B. Gwinn of Porum, OK; sister, Jennifer Gwinn of Porum, OK; paternal grandparents, Sisroe and Mavis Gwinn of Coalgate, maternal grandparents, Tommy and Imogene Riley of Lead Hill, AR; maternal great grandparents, Ruthie Hanna of Lead Hill, AR; a host of other relatives, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by his maternal great grandfather, Birtie Frank Hanna.
Casketbearers were Clint Gray, Jimmy Fry, John Blevins, Vince Relogle, Buddy Gwinn, and A. B. Gwinn. Honorary bearers were Samuel Gwinn, Wade Gwinn, Clinton Gwinn, Bryan Green, Bill Relogle, Bill Joe Replogle, Clint Wilson and Jimmy Crow.
