Nelda Nadine Musgrave Ferrero

Nelda Nadine (Musgrave) Ferrero, age 90, a long time Coalgate resident. She was born on February 7, 1929, to Walter and Anna Louise (Hazel) Musgrave, just north of Coalgate & Cottonwood,OK. Nelda passed away on July 9, 2019 at Coalgate, OK.

Nelda's elementary education was in the country schools of Lone Star & Cabe Communities. She graduated from 8th grade at the age of 12 as Valedictorian.In 1945, at the age 16, she graduated from Coalgate High School as Valedictorian of her class. Nelda worked part-time as a stenographer for Mr. Avard Hudson, later she became full time for Mr. Avard Hudson & Mr. Bill Hudson. Nelda worked for the Coal County Department of Public Welfare and for the Missouri Department of Public Welfare, the Missouri Department of Employment Security. She later worked as a Bookkeeper at Hudson's Big Country store & Accounts Payable for the Coalgate Hospitall. Nelda married James Charles Ferrero on September 16, 1950 in Bentonville, AR. He preceded her in death on January 11, 2004.

Nelda was a lifelong member of the Coalgate Church of Christ, where she served as a Sunday school & vacation Bible School teacher. She and her husband, James, were instrumental in securing the funds for the construction of the building where the Coalgate Church of Christ members worship today.

Nelda was a wife, mother & homemaker. She was the home room mother for both children and also served as President of the group. She was active member of the Bethel Extension Club, she served as President while the group and others clubs took great pride in raising money to pay for the kitchen of the homemakers at the County Barn. She was a member of the After Five Homemaker Club until 2017.

Nelda enjoyed collecting dishes, cooking and baking as well as crocheting and won many awards for each.

Nelda is Survived by Daughter: Lynne Ferrero White of Norman, OK. Son: Mark Ferrero and Melinda of Kingwood, TX. Grandchildren: Tyler White & Christen of Ft. Worth, TX, Sara White Blair & Kyle of Moore, OK, Paden Ferrero & Cally of Lubbock, TX Dakota Ferrero & Brittany of Kingwood, TX, Great Grandchildren: Georgiana White, Carson Blair, William Blair & Jack Ferrero, Sister-in-law: Pat Ferrero of Coalgate, OK, Nieces & Nephews: Gina Ferrero McNutt & husband Scotty, Taylor & Madelyn of Coalgate, OK, Michael Ferrero & wife Michele, Micah & Michaela of Hamlin, TX, Cousin: Betty Musgrave White of Sulphur, OK, Special Friends: Phillip & Kay Helms & After Five Homemakers, Along with many dear and loved friends

She was preceded in death by her Parents: Walter & Anna Musgrave and Husband James Ferrero
