Carter Brooks Derrick, an Ada resident, was born on May 27, 1959, to John Burton Sr and Rosemary (Perkins) Derrick, at Coalgate, Oklahoma. He passed away on May 26, 2025, at Ada, Oklahoma, at the age of 65 years, 11 months and 29 days. Carter attended school at Coalgate. He was a hi-tech mechanic and loved working on old cars. Carter was a member of the Church of Christ.
