Roy Junior Bowerman age 94, a Coalgate resident. He was born on June 26, 1926, to James Lee Roy and Inez Alice (Schones) Bowerman, at Olney, OK. Roy passed away on March 26, 2021 at Coalgate, OK. He attended Olney Schools. Roy worked for the Oklahoma State Highway Department. He married Violet Ruth Lanoy on April 4, 1953 in Cottonwood, OK, she preceded him in death on October 18,2010. Roy attended the Gospel Barn. He loved horses, gardening & red pickup trucks.
Roy is SURVIVED BY Daughters: Cherry Hefley & husband Wendell & Marilyn Smith. Grandchildren: Dusti Bledsoe & husband Ryan, Stormy Smith, Brett Hefley & wife Kristin. Great Grandchildren: Jaxon Bledsoe, Jude Bledsoe, Ellie Bledsoe, Nate Hefley & Nora Hefley. Along with numerous other relatives & friends
He was PRECEDED IN DEATH BY his Wife: Violet Ruth (Lanoy) Bowerman, his Parents: James Lee Roy & Inez (Schones) Bowerman, Brothers: Freddie Bowerman, Sisters: Deadrian Thomlinson, Gladys Taylor, Alice Vick, Granddaughter: Brandi Hefley, Son-in-law: Dub Smith
