William Glen Avanzini, a Coalgate resident, was born on February 5, 1931, to John William and Louise Marie (Dellacort) Avanzini, at Coalgate. He passed away on March 10, 2024, at Coalgate, Oklahoma, at the age of 93 years, 1 month and 5 days.
He graduated from Coalgate High School in 1949 then studied Architecture at OU.
Bill married Joy Corsini on June 3, 1954. They were blessed with 55 wonderful years together before her passing on December 26, 2009.
A devoted Christian, Bill served his God through the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. With all of his community and church service, Bill still put family first. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who gave and derived much joy from family. He was an experienced artist who loved painting portraits. He taught oil painting classes at Murray State College. Bill enjoyed studying genealogy and raising cattle. A man of high principles and faith, a servant's heart, with a positive outlook on life, Bill influenced many in the Coalgate community over the years and leaves a hole in the heart of many at his passing. We rejoice in the knowledge that we will see him again.
