Margaret Ruth Andrews

Margaret Ruth Andrews, 91, of Oklahoma City passed away peacefully in her home on September 11, 2024. Margaret was born December 14, 1932 in Coalgate, OK to John and Mary Forneris Andrews. Margaret attended Coalgate Schools and graduated in 1950. Soon after she moved to Oklahoma City where she was employed by Oklahoma Gas & Electric. She retired after 44 years of service as the Credit Union Manager of OG&E. Her retirement was spent traveling, volunteering at the Christmas Connection, and serving as a loving caregiver to many friends and family members. At age 71, Margaret committed her heart and life to Jesus and was baptized in Lake Arcadia. She was of the Baptist faith. Margaret is preceded in death by her parents John and Mary Andrews, her brothers Bob Andrews and Bill Andrews, her sisters Betty Andrews and Mary June Entz, and long-time special friend, Bob Smith. She is survived by her sister-in-law Beth Andrews of Lexington, two nephews, Donnie Entz and Bobby Andrews of Hinton and two nieces LeaAnn Entz of Hinton, and Donna Smith of Lexington. Margaret is also survived by 11 great nieces and nephews, 16 great-great nieces and nephews and 1 great-great-great niece along with many other beloved family members and friends. A special thanks to Margarets niece, Donna Smith, who served as a devoted caregiver for both Margaret and her late sister Betty, and sister-in-law, Beth Andrews, who was her constant companion during Margaret's final days. Graveside services will be held Friday, September 20, 2024 at 2:00pm at the Coalgate Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers please consider a donation to St. Jude's Children's Research hospital, a charity Margaret faithfully and generously supported.
