James "Jim" Edward Anderson, age 96, a Longtime Coalgate resident. He was born on June 8, 1926, to Olen and Leona (Roller) Anderson, at Sherman, TX. James passed away on January 9, 2023 at Coalgate, OK. at the age of 96 years, 7 months and 1 day. He graduated Coalgate High School Where he played football as a guard. Jim then received a Bachelor's Degree at Oklahoma State University. James was a Motion Picture Machine Operator and owned Memories Bed and Breakfast. James was a USA Navy Veteran serving in WWII as well as the Korean War. James married Sandra "Sandy" (Cook) Anderson on July 15, 1949 and shared many years together until her passing in 2005. James was a stage hand steward, painted signs, teacher, artist, fireman, projectionist, Mason for 59 years, and member of the VFW.

DAUGHTERS: Susan Gasca and husband Joe of Austin, TX
Jamie Maley and husband Michael of McAlester, OK
Along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
