Funeral services for Ruth Marie Turnpaugh Jones, a Coal County resident, were held Friday, January 28, 2011 at 2:00 pm. at Brown's Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Mr. Harland Stonecipher officiating. Burial was in Centrahoma Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service of Coalgate.

Mrs. Jones was born October 11, 1931 in Corbett, OK to Cecil and Tura June (Tully) Turnpaugh and passed away January 25, 3011 in Centrahoma, OK at the age of 79. She attended school at Red Springs Grade School and Wanette High School. In 1951 she married Earl Jones in Lexington, OK. She and her husband Earl owned and operated a store in Wanette for many years. She was later employed at Prepaid Legal Service as a shipping supervisor in Ada for many many years.

Survivors include her husband Earl Jones of the home; sons, Keith Jones and wife Donna and Leith Jones and wife Lisa; daughter, Pam Jones; grandchildren, Bryan and Julie Jones with Kyle and Tyler, Brock and Holli Jones with Rowdy and Raylee, Misti and Terry Miller with Kaylee and Gracie, Skylar and Don McElhaney with Avery, Addison and Loren and Hunter and Shelby Jones; brothers and sisters, Wanda and Kenneth Kersey, Joan Lambdin, Jimmy and Patsy Turnpaugh, Kay and Richard Cryer, and Paul and Aliene Turnpaugh; brother-in-law, Gerald Jones and wife Delores with Mike and David; extended family, Oleta, Joe, Laney, Tim, Zeke and Cameron Melton; dearest friends, Shirley and Harland Stonecipher, Allen, Karen, Greg and Zane Stonecipher.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Scotty Turnpaugh; brother-in-law Debs lambdin; nephews, Mike Turnpaugh, Greg Cryer and Martin Jones and adopted family, Brent, Tina and Nikki Stonechipher.

Casketbearers were Tim Suchy, Allen Stonecipher, Marvin "Buster" Cole, Kenneth Alexander, Dan and Alexander and Mike Stover.
