Funeral services for Dorothy June (Lee) Johnston, a Tupelo resident, were held Friday, February 25, 2011 at 2:00 p.m at Centrahoma Gospel Lighthouse Church with Brother Larry Beach officiating, assisted by Sister Becky Beach. Interment was in Centrahoma Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service of Coalgate.
Mrs. Johnston was born August 23, 1951 in Kansas City, KS to Rolan and Ester (Blivens) Lee and passed away Tuesday, February 22. 2011 in Ada, OK at the age of 59. She attended school in OKC and Tupelo and married Roger Johnston on April 23, 1969. He preceded her in death on December 15, 2006. Mrs. Johnston was a homemaker and a home health nurse. She was a member of the Centrahoma Gospel Lighthouse Church.
Survivors include her children, Angelena Johnston of Tupelo and Roger Dale Johnston and wife Laura of Coalgate; grandchildren, Amber Guffy and husband Chris of Tupelo, Lacy Stringer of Ada, Tyler Stringer and Kordail Stringer both of Tupelo, Kolton Johnston and Kyndal Johnston both of Coalgate; great grandchildren, Destiny Guffy and Ryan Guffy, both of Ada, Jaycee Stringer, Levi Guffy and Remington Guffy all of Tupelo; honorary sisters, Linda Baliy and Barbara Baker, along with nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Tina Lee.
Casketbearers were Kenny Pearce, Justin Parker, Clark Ed Parker, Terry Young, Timmy Young and Chris Guffy.
