Funeral services for Paul James Anderson, a resident of Centrahoma, OK, were held Monday, February 16, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Centrahoma Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Graham officiating, assisted by Bro. David Boggs, Jeff Warner and Bob Smith. Burial was in Centrahoma Cemetery with Brown's Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Anderson was born July 29, 1926 at Lone Oak, north of Tupelo to Charlie Burnett Anderson and Cora Bell Campbell Anderson and passed away February 13, 2009 at the age of 82. He attended Lone Oak and Tupelo schools, married Jackie Smith at Sherman, TX on March 15, 1952, worked with the department of Transportation in Pontotoc County for 30 years (retiring in 1985) and was a member of the Centrahoma Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Jackie Anderson of the home; son, Steven "Chris" Miller of Centrahoma; grandson, Ty Miller of Centrahoma; granddaughter, Mallory Miller of Bennington, OK; sister, Lillie Ingram of Fritz, TX; brother-in-law Bob Smith and wife Jean of Blanchard, OK; sisters-in-law, Rub "Micky: Smith of Choctaw, OK, Clara Elizabeth "Hooe" Carr of Ft. Worth, TX; along with nieces and nephews and numerous other relatives adn friends.
He was preceded in death by; son, John Paul Anderson; parents, Charlie and Cora Anderson; brothers, C. B. Anderson and Robert Anderson; sisters, Lorene "Sally" Canida and Nellie Driskill.
Casketbearers were Bob Cody, Jeff Warner, Chuckie Loudermilk, O.N. Riley, Orbin "PeeWee" Bowerman, and Eldon Hogue. Honorary bearers were E.C. Martin, Paul Hooe, Bob Ingram, Bill Vineyard, Roy Deck and Alvin Pebworth.
