HAZEL NAOMI WELLS
Funeral services for Hazel Naomi Wells, 74, of Ada, were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Union Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Randall Christy officiating. Burial followed at Byrd’s Prairie Cemetery, Tupelo, Oklahoma under direction of Criswell Funeral Home of Ada. Mrs. Wells was born July 29, 1938 in Coalgate, Oklahoma to James Nemo Anglin and Ola Mae Flowers and died Thursday, February 7, 2013 at an Oklahoma City hospital.
She attended school at Earlimart, California. On October 13, 1972, she married Houston Wells and he preceded her in death on December 31, 2009. She was a member of Union Valley Baptist Church. Hazel retired from the restaurant industry and was later an active volunteer at the Three Crosses Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Teresa Neeley and husband Michael, of Asher, Oklahoma and Christine Williams and husband Tom of Boswell, Oklahoma; one son Jack Wells of the home; seven grandchildren, Tye and Keifer Neeley of Asher, Oklahoma, John and Shelly Williams of Bokchito, Oklahoma, Christopher Williams of Boswell, Oklahoma, LaTisha Potter of Durant, Oklahoma and Tammy and John Tirado of Frisco, Texas; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, James Anglin and wife Shirley, of Madill, Oklahoma; one sister, Pat Roberts and husband Ray of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; and a special family member, Rhonda Jennings of Tulare, California, Judy Neeley of Asher, Oklahoma and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were her grandsons, Tye Neeley, Keifer Neeley, Christopher Williams and John Williams; great-grandsons, Trevor Foster, Thomas Foster and Troy Tirado. Honorary bearers were Micheal Neeley, Tom Williams, Ray Roberts, Richard Neeley, Henry Neeley and the men of her Sunday School Class.
