Remembering a Life of Kindness, Integrity, and Dedication

It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of Darryl Weller, who departed this life on October 27th, 2025, in Atoka, Oklahoma. Darryl was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, and community member whose warmth and kindness touched all who knew him.

Early Life and Family:
Darryl Wayne Weller was born in Ada, Oklahoma on October 10th, 1963, to Don and Joy Weller. Darryl grew up surrounded by family, learning early on the values of kindness, compassion, and honesty. Darryl shared many fond memories of his childhood from the dairy farm, the hay field, and spending Saturday nights in Jesse.

Personal Life and Passions:
Darryl graduated from Tupelo High School in 1983. He also kept the scoreboard for the Tupelo Baseball team and retired after 40 plus years. Darryl enjoyed spending time with his family especially during the holidays, sharing stories, playing wahoo, watching his Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys, and most importantly the Tupelo Tigers. He was an avid and loyal fan to all his teams. Darryl will forever be known as Tupelo Tigers #1 fan.

Legacy:
Darryl is survived by his father, Don Weller of Tupelo, OK; his sisters, Darla Pearce of Tupelo, OK, Donna McCollum and husband Kelly McCollum of Tupelo, OK, Christie Bills of Tupelo, OK; his brothers, Clay Weller and wife Brandy Weller of Tupelo, OK, Darryll Canida and wife Wendy Canida of Cleveland, TN; and his long time caregiver, Carolyn Scott . Darryl is also survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Darryl is preceded in death by his mother, Joy Weller, Grandparents, W.D. and Gladys Lowden, Deborn and Opal Weller, Nephew, Justin Bills, and brother-in-law, Randy Bills. Darryl will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love and kindness will live on in all those he touched.

Service and Remembrance:
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 30th at Tony Stevens Gymnasium in Tupelo, OK, where friends and family will gather to celebrate Darryls life. An interment will take place at Byrd's Prairie Cemetery.

Darryl Weller's memory will forever remain in our hearts. May he walk with Jesus and rest in peace.
