JIMMY DALE OWENS

Funeral services for Jimmy Dale Owens, a Tupelo resident, were held Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Brown's funeral Chapel with Rev. Bob Graham officiating. Burial was in Bryd's Prairie Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service of Coalgate.

Mr. Owens was born September 19, 1965 in Kingfisher, OK to Benny and Imogene Nichols Owens and passed away March 12, 2011 in Centrahoma, OK at the age of 45. He attended Tupelo High School and married Sandy Hunter on January 10, 2007 in Ft. Smith, AR. Jimmy was of the Baptist faith and worked as a cement finisher.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Owens; daughters, Ashlyn Paige Owens and Deonna Ladale Owens; step-son, Tony Lemons; brothers Benny Wayne Owens and Toby Ownes; sister, Tina Owens; three grandsons and three granddaughters; father, Benny Owens; along with numerous other relatives (nieces, nephews and cousins), many dear and loved friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Imogene Owens and sister, Donna Looney.

Casketbearers were Ed Peck, Dail Johnston, Dennis Looney, Rick Basden, Paul Sharp, and Billy Stein. Honorary bearers were Jaye Harkins, and Tony Lemons.
