Fannie Jennings

Graveside services for Fannie Oneida Jennings, 94, of Ada are at 10 a.m. Monday at Byrd's Prairie Cemetery near Tupelo; the Rev. Earl Hood will officiate.

Mrs. Jennings died Friday, July 17, 2015, at a local nursing home. She was born April 2, 1921, in Tupelo to Hosey Gardner and Cloettie Jane Johnson Guffey.

She married John L. Jennings Jan. 9, 1945, in Coalgate. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Jennings was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include a son, Jim Jennings and wife Shirley, Ada; two grandchildren, Jimmy Jennings, Jr. and wife Laurie, Ada and Christie Jennings, Ada; three great-grandchildren, Brady, Brett and Laraby Jennings; two sisters, Irene Stonecipher and husband Verman, Ada and Leona Landrith, Sacramento, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four brothers; two sisters; and an infant son.
