Vol 7 No.46;December 18, 1895

J.D. Davidson one of our most respected farmers living 3 miles north died Monday Dec. 9. Its suspected he went to reach for a dose of quinine and accidently took a dose of morphine that was sitting next to it. He leaves a wife Lula S and 3 children Fred W., Elle and Johnnie to mourn his loss. The family has the heartfelt sympathy of the community.-Lexington Leader

**John D Davidson was born in MO. and later moved to Texas where he married and started a family with Lula S. Ford. In June of 1895 he become the legal owner of 160 acres at what is now 84th and Duffy Rd.

In 1898, his wife Lula passed away as well. The children were cared for my Lulas mother Susan Ford who lived in Norman at the time. **MDF
