William Leroy "Bill" Polk

William Leroy Polk, 55, of Norman, passed away on September 16,
2015. Beloved by his family and all who knew him, Bill will be
remembered for his love of hunting and fishing as well as his
passion for University of Oklahoma football. He served our
nation honorably in the U.S. Navy where he learned the
electrical trade, a vocation that he continued to work in
throughout his life and most recently at Bliss Electric Company.
Without a doubt, his greatest legacy was that of being a loving
and devoted father, softball coach to his girls and that of
doting grandfather to his precious granddaughter.
A service to remember and celebrate Bill’s life will be at 11
a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Havenbrook Funeral Chapel
with burial to follow at the
Warren Cemetery
with military honors.
Bill is survived by his two daughters, Kaci Byrd and husband
Daniel; Kiley Polk; granddaughter, Rylee Polk; mother, Naomi
Farrington Polk; stepmother, Margaret Polk; sister, Tammy Wood
and husband Michael; and brother, Toby Polk.
He was preceded in
death by his father, William Porter Polk and brothers, Stephen
Polk and Greg Polk.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday,
September 18, 2015 at Havenbrook Funeral Home.
