Hare, Bobby, 80, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2012 in
Norman, Oklahoma. He was born April 26, 1932 in Delhi, Oklahoma
to John and Lena Mae (Stagg) Hare. He was united in marriage to
Sandra Kae McPherson.
Bobby was raised and attended schools in Erick, Oklahoma. He
received his degree in Accounting from OSU. He was a member of
the Norman Masonic Lodge and the Shriners. He enjoyed
supporting OU athletics and spending time with his
grandchildren. Whether it was watching Foster play football,
Colton playing basketball or Ashton playing soccer, he was
always there.
Bobby served his country in the United States Navy and was an
auditor for the Department of Defense retiring after 20 years of
service.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Sandra of the home; sons, Steve
Hare and wife Lisa of Norman; John Hare and wife Carrie of
Norman; and three grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his
parents; two brothers, Bill and Cletus Hare and four sisters,
Joyce Garrison, Oneta Stinson, Jean Campbell and Bernice
Campbell.
The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.,
Friday, August 10, 2012 at Havenbrook Funeral Home. The family
requests that memorials be made to the First Christian Church.
Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 11, 2012 at
the First Christian Church, 220 S. Webster, Norman.
Family graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday at the Warren Cemetery of Norman. Arrangements for Bobby and his family were placed in the care of the Vice family at the Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.
