Frances Opal Harwell, 92, of
Norman, OK, passed away Tuesday February 9, 2016 in Norman. She was born
December 14, 1923 in Marietta, OK to Jessie and Christine (Little) Pyle.
Frances married Bill John Harwell on November 13, 1943 in Lubbock, TX. They
moved to Norman from Texas in 1948. Together they owned and operated Clark and
Service Dry Cleaners and were active members of the Lakeside Church of God in
Norman.
Frances liked gardening and playing board games. She and her husband loved
traveling and were members of the Good Sam Travel Club. She enjoyed being
outdoors and loved fishing, camping and above all, spending time with her
family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Joseph Pyle and Leona Christine
Pyle; her husband, Bill Harwell; twin sister, Ola Montgomery; brothers, Bill
Pyle, Oscar Pyle, Arthur Pyle, Jesse Pyle, Eugene Pyle, and Raymond Adams; and
grandchildren Doug and Marcella Minton. Frances is survived by her daughter
Linda Minton and husband Tom; sisters, Barbara Clark and Carol Morrison; great
grandchildren, Shelby and Krystyne Minton; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 3:00pm-8:00pm, Monday, February 15, 2016 at Havenbrook
Funeral Home, 3401 Havenbrook St., Norman. Funeral services will be 2:00pm
Tuesday February 16, 2016 at the Chapel of Havenbrook Funeral Home with Reverend
Brian Wade and Reverend Kenneth Adams officiating. Interment will follow at
Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Norman.
