Funeral services
for Mrs. Margaret Patricia “Pat” Domgard, age 83, of Norman will be held at 1:00
pm Friday, February 25, 2011 at the McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church,
419 South University Boulevard in Norman with Reverend Cal Brennan officiating.
Pat was born March 6, 1927 in Washington, DC the daughter of Arthur and
Elizabeth (Clark) Lansdale. She passed away Monday, February 21, 2011 in
Oklahoma City.
Pat met her husband, Robert E. Domgard on VJ Day, August 14, 1945, and was
united in marriage to him eight weeks later on October 5, 1945 in Vallejo,
California. Pat and Bob lived their early lives in Nebraska, where their six
children were born, spanning 22 years from the oldest to the youngest.
Pat was an extremely loving, patient, and kind wife, mother, grandmother, and
friend that will forever be missed. She was an active volunteer for many years
at the Norman Regional Hospital and thoroughly enjoyed her time there. Pat was
also involved at McFarlin, attending the Fellowship Sunday School Class for many
years.
Survivors include four sons; Michael Domgard and his wife, Marlene “Sam” of
Schertz, Texas; Timothy Domgard and his wife, Tracey of Lincoln, Nebraska; James
Domgard and his wife, Ann, of Lincoln, Nebraska; Louis Domgard and his wife,
Shona of Norman; two daughters; Pamela Whitney and her husband, Mike of Norman;
and Sallie Vawter and her husband, Van of Norman; 12 grandchildren; Ann
Ciccarelli and her husband, Richard; Michael Domgard and his wife, Korena;
Debbie Hunlock; Amy Carr; Cooper Domgard; Heath Whitney; Brian Whitney; Derrick
Whitney; Christopher Domgard; Erin Domgard; Abbi Vawter; Griffin Domgard; four
great grandchildren; Christian Ciccarelli; Alexandria Domgard; Jaesa Whitney;
and Destyn Whitney.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Domgard in April
of 1999; one granddaughter, Sherry Domgard; three brothers and one sister.
Burial will conclude in Sunset Memorial
Park Cemetery in Norman under the direction of the Havenbrook Funeral
Home of Norman.
