Mark Darin Winn, 48, of Blanchard, OK entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 13, 2016.

He was born October 31, 1967 in Prague, OK to Tommy Ray Winn and Judy Ann (Long) Winn.  He graduated from Norman High School in 1985 and received an Electrical Engineering Degree with a minor in Computer Science from the University of Oklahoma in 1997.  He married the love of his life, Karie V Clark on May 15, 2004 in Norman, OK.

His hobbies and interests intersected often with the types of work he performed.  He also enjoyed cutting edge technology, home design projects including repair/building/constructing, working on cars, and welding.  His real and abiding passions were his wife and two children.

Mark worked over 18 years as an Electronics Engineer at Tinker Air Force Base.  In 1998, he began to work as a government representative overseeing B-2 Bomber Software developed by Northrop Grumman.  Starting in 2003, he was selected to serve as the government software technical expert on the B-2 Bomber Weapons teaming effort with Boeing.  Working alongside Boeing, Mark provided expert technical support on numerous weapon delivery software updates to the aircraft.  He was also looked upon for technical assistance by his peers both within and outside the software working group.  He was respected for his technical abilities and known for his willingness to help others.  His excellent work in the B-2 Software Maintenance Group was recognized in 2014 when he was named the Civilian Engineer of the Year, a prestigious award given to only the best software engineers at Tinker.  His software knowledge was extensive and Mark always had the desire to learn more.  Along with that desire was a passion to share with others the knowledge he had learned.

Mark Darin Winn is survived by his wife and two loving children, Rebecca A. and Daniel T. Winn, mother, sisters Shauna (Harley) Wagner of Martinsburg, WV and Ashley (Jay) Jarrett of Oklahoma City, OK, and numerous other family members including 6 nieces/nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, maternal grandparents, Bonnie and Tommee Long, and paternal grandparents, Arthur and Evelyn Winn.

He had a kind heart and quick wit and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
