Funeral services for Mrs. Beverly Duvall Stallcup Tadlock, age 82, of Norman, will begin at 2:00 pm Thursday, April 11, 2013 at the McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church, 419 South University Boulevard in Norman with Reverend Randy Wade officiating.

Beverly was born October 3, 1930 in Houston, Texas the daughter of Finis Hugh and Thelma Johnnie (Hendrix) Spears. She passed away late Sunday evening, April 7, 2013 at the HealthPlex in Norman, following an accident. Beverly attended public schools in Houston, graduating from Reagan High School in 1949.  She was united in marriage to Mr. Harry Earl Duvall on August 24, 1950 in Houston.  Beverly worked as a legal secretary for Magnolia Oil Company in Houston and was a pre-school teacher for a brief time before moving to Norman, Oklahoma on July 23, 1973.  After moving to Norman, Beverly worked for the Norman Regional Hospital in the admitting and X-Ray departments, later working for Dr. Gerald McCullough, MD of Norman for more than 13 years before her retirement in 1987.  Her husband, Harry, preceded her death on April 19, 1986. Beverly later married Rives Stallcup in August of 1988.  He preceded her death on May 19, 1999.  She then married Bill Tadlock on August 28, 2005, enjoying nearly eight years of marriage before Bill passed away on March 6, 2013. Beverly was a genuinely happy individual, always sharing her bubbly personality with others.  When she encountered people she didn’t know, it wasn’t long before she knew everything about them.  Beverly simply wanted the best for others and would go out of her way to make sure people felt appreciated and loved. Beverly enjoyed Square Dancing, participating in memberships with the Rainbow Girls, the Reagan Red Coats, and served as a Lieutenant for the Drum and Bugle Corp.  She was a member of McFarlin UMW Circle #11 and Fellowship Sunday School.  Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her family.  Beverly enjoyed preparing meals and was especially good at making a great turkey hash.  She also enjoyed being involved with her family’s lives, often stepping in to help where needed.   Simply put, she was an amazing person with an amazing heart!  We will truly miss her kindred spirit and warm smile.

In addition to her husbands, Beverly was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her three daughters, Gwen Gough, and her husband, Don, of Moore, Oklahoma, Patsy Ann Farrar and her companion, Kevin Smetter of Norman, Oklahoma, and Becky Heeney, and her husband, Neil, of Norman, Oklahoma;  Beverly’s  brother, Donald Joe Spears and wife Linda, of Pearland, Texas;  Niece, Sandra Siddall of Bayou Vista, Texas;  Nephew, Robert W. Spears of Houston, Texas; Niece, Jennifer and her husband Kiley Webb,  of Tampa, Florida;  six grandchildren, Jake Gough, and his wife, Dawn, of Norman, Oklahoma, Melissa Marsh of Norman, Oklahoma, Emily Pitchford and her husband, Andrew, of Moore, Oklahoma, Tiffany Kerley, and her husband, Jordan, of Norman, Oklahoma, Christian Heeney of Norman, Oklahoma, and Braden Heeney of Norman, Oklahoma; five great grandchildren, Isabel, Allyn, Anabel, Noelle, and Rosabel.
