Nuss, James L. “Jim”, 76, passed away Monday, December 6, 2010 in Norman, Oklahoma.
He was
born July 10, 1934 in Rolfe, Iowa to Clarence and Helen (Howe) Nuss. Jim
graduated from Lockwood High School in Lockwood, Missouri. He was united in
marriage on October 11, 1996 in Springfield, Missouri to Carol Brown.
Jim served his country in the Peace Corps and the United States Army. He was a
truck driver for 37 years, serving 21 years with Leeway Motor Freight. After
retiring from Leeway, he was a school bus driver for 15 years retiring in 2004.
While driving he enjoyed talking on his CB radio to anyone that wanted to talk.
His CB handle was “White Lightning”. Jim enjoyed traveling, collecting model
cars, watching high school and college football and spending time with his
family.
Jim is survived by his wife, Carol Nuss; four sons, James Nuss of OKC, Jarrid
Matlock and wife Stacy, David Matlock and wife Laura and Joshua Matlock all of
Noble, OK; two daughters, Susan Cougill and husband Michael of OKC and Nancy
Bagdasarian and husband Keith of Coral Springs, FL; fourteen grandchildren,
Christopher, Mark, Michael, Katlyn, Tiffany, Andrew, Dustin, Kyle, Taryn,
Keirsten, Kaitlyn, Kinsey, Elsie, and Hesten; and three great grandchildren,
Christopher, Kylah and Essence.
He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Linda Ridener.
