Ida “Sue” Neidhart was born February 24, 1917 in Ohio. She passed away Friday, March 1, 2013 in Oklahoma City.Sue attended public schools in Ohio. Sue was united in marriage to Wes Neidhart on July 24, 1938 in Greenup, Kentucky. Soon after their marriage, Sue and Wes were blessed with the birth of their first child, Joyce and a few years later, they welcomed their son, Bob. Sue and Wes moved to Norman in 1968, where Sue was a homemaker. Sue and Wes traveled extensively in their motor home where she enjoyed sitting around the campfire. The two of them served as National Parks Hosts for 28 years, planning and hosting friends from around the United States. In her younger years she enjoyed riding motorcycles with Wes especially the Indian and Harley. Sue loved crocheting, knitting, and reading a good book. Sue enjoyed playing board and table games, especially Mexican train dominos with her family and friends while eating popcorn and sipping Colorado Kool Aide. She loved her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, laughing and joking with them, making unforgettable memories.
Sue is survived by one son, Bob Neidhart and his wife, Sherry of Norman, OK; one daughter, Joyce Stone and her husband, Richard of Jones, OK; one foster daughter; Joyce Bowen and her husband, Gordon of Kendallville, IN; eight grandchildren; Terry Green and his wife, Karen; Amy K. Roberts and her husband, Bob; Rodney Green and his wife, Kathy; John Stewart and his wife, Michelle; Melissa Murfitt and her husband, Michael; Michael Green and his wife, Ramona; Dianna Jackson and her husband, Ken; and Jason Stewart; 17 great grandchildren; Amber Cummings, Garrett Green, Keith Green, Jessica Green, Kevin Green, Emily Jackson, Krystal Jackson, Danisha Koone, Derick Koone, Princess Neidhart, Angel Salyer, Brieana Reich, Chelsee Stewart, Whitney Stewart, Gracie Stewart, Miles Murfitt, Maisie Murfitt; and seven great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of nearly 73 years, Wes; one grandson, Troy Neidhart on September 11, 2002; one foster son, Paul Rice; three brothers.
