Joseph Carlos Mello, 58, native of Bristol Rhode Island, passed away on Thursday the 12th of March 2020 in Midwest City, Oklahoma.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Family will be present from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday the 17th of March 2020 at Ford Funeral Home, 305 S. Sooner Rd Midwest City, OK 73110.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday the 18th of March 2020 at Ford Funeral Home with Pastor Sam Ervin of Life Church Midwest City, officiating. Final place of rest will be at Sunset Memorial Park, Norman Oklahoma. Arrangements are by Ford Funeral home.
Joseph Carlos Mello was born in Fall River, Massachusetts to Eugene and Ermelinda Mello on August 5th, 1961. He graduated from Bristol High School in 1979, and then attended the United States Air Force Basic Military Training at Lackland Airforce Base, TX. He then completed Turboprop Propulsion Technician Training at Little Rock, Arkansas. Following his military career, Joe became a successful entrepreneur as a self-employed contractor for Lowes earning many awards as a pro-installer. Joe enjoyed golfing, boating, and especially spending time with family and friends.
On February 1st, 2000 Joe went on to marry his beloved wife, Teri Mello in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their love story lasted 17 beautiful years with many adventures and family memories.
Joseph Mello is survived by children Jessica and Casey McCrady, Carisa and Bo Russell, Cassondra Mello and Reign King, Joseph and Ilyse Mello, and Leah Clark. Siblings Leona and Manuel DeCastro, Suzy and Brent Crozier, and Eugene and Kristin Mello. Grandchildren Isaiah Pinion, Tessa Clark, Finnigan McCrady, Kayley Scott, Jordyn Scott, Myah Tamplin, Van Mello, Logan Betts, Ever McCrady, Bella McCrady, Althea King, and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and his in-laws.
Joseph Mello is preceded in death by his father and mother, Eugene and Ermelinda Mello and wife Teri Mello.
Pallbearers will be Eugene Mello, Brent Crozier, Joseph Mello Jr., Casey McCrady, Bo Russell, Wayne Combs, Adam Ely, and Isaiah Pinion.
