David Earl King, 61, of Moore, died Friday, April 27, 2018, in Norman. The son of David Leo King and Patricia Laverne (Waldo) King, he was born January 27, 1957, in Miami, Florida.

David proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and was Roman Catholic in faith. He married Wanda Jean Maynard on July 16, 1977 in Blanchard, Oklahoma. He worked as a mail carrier for the US Postal Service and retired after 20 years of service. In his spare time, David enjoyed watching movies and fishing. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family and his dog.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Pam King.

David is survived by his wife, Wanda King of Moore; one daughter, Teresa Thomas and her husband, Ricky, of Moore; three grandchildren, Jayde Thomas, Rylee Thomas, and David Ethan King; one brother, Larry King and his wife, Tammy, of Moore; and many other loved ones and friends.

Graveside funeral and burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Norman. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
