Jones, Kevin D., 43, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012 in Norman, Oklahoma.
He was born August
19, 1968 in Indio, California to Kenneth and Remonia (Yarbrough) Jones. Kevin
attended schools in California until moving to Noble, Oklahoma in 1981 where he
was a standout athlete in football and wrestling. He graduated from Noble High
School in 1987.
Kevin began a career with Seagate in Oklahoma City working with computers and
other areas in their technology departments. He later began a career with McSha
Properties of Norman and at the time of his death, Kevin was employed with the
Walmart store on Interstate Drive in Norman operating the forklift and helping
stock and replenishing supplies.
Kevin was a very loving father, son, brother and friend. He was always very
well thought of by his co-workers often being recognized for various
accomplishments and awards. He had a great sense of humor that often left
people laughing. Kevin loved God, and enjoyed life and helping others.
Kevin is survived by his father, Kenneth Don Jones of Norman; one son, Donald
Roy Jones of Lubbock, Texas; one daughter, Stephanie Nicole Jones of Snyder,
Texas; two sister, Kenna Glazier of Norman and Kelly K. Baggett of Texas; his
Aunt, LaQuita Brickell and her husband Ed of Arkansas; two nieces, Heather
Glazier of Norman and Aubrey Kirkpatrick and her husband, Ritchie of Moore, OK;
one great niece, MaKenna Kirkpatrick of Moore, OK; one great nephew, Ritchie
Kirkpatrick of Moore, OK; and numerous cousins and other family members and
friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Remonia Jones on July 10, 2005; one
niece, Jennifer Nicole Gwaltney on December 13, 1981; paternal grandparents,
Kenneth A. and Ima Jean Jones; and maternal grandmother, Genevieve Lynch.
Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 am, Monday, July 2, 2012, in the Chapel of
the Havenbrook Funeral Home, 3401 Havenbrook Street, Norman with burial
concluding in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Norman . Arrangements for Kevin
and his family were placed in the care of the Vice Family at the Havenbrook
Funeral Home of Norman.
