Memorial services for Bobby Ingram, formerly of Norman, were held at 2
p.m., Monday, Nov. 10, 2014, at Bethel Baptist Church, 1717 W. Lindsey
in Norman. Services were under the direction of Crawford Funeral Service
of Edmond.
His family moved to Norman in 1943. He met and fell in love with Bertha Mae Eastep while working at F.W. Woolworth Department Store there. They were married at Immanuel Baptist Church of Norman on April 4, 1952. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He also had a long and successful career with the U.S. Post Office in Norman serving as a Postal Clerk before retiring in 1987.
Bobby and Bertha enjoyed taking cruises, camping, spending time with family and their beloved Boston Terriers, Molly, Mandy and Toby Jo. They were faithful members of Bethel Baptist Church since 1964 and they loved their church family. Shortly after the death of his wife Bertha in 2012, he moved to Palm Harbor, FL, to live with his daughter, Melinda.Survivors include his four children, Dennis and (Liz) Ingram of Bixby; David and (Carolyn) Ingram of Hot Springs, AR; Bruce and (Valerie) Ingram of Norman; Melinda and (Ralph) Goddard of Palm Harbor, FL; 13 grandchildren, Michael and (Jill) Phillips; Amber and (Tom) Prescott; Robin Rougier and (Jacob Rosecrants); Angela Goddard; Sunny Goddard; Austin and (Callie) Ingram ; Courtney Ingram ; Mitchell and (Chelsea) Ingram ; Josh Ingram ; Patrick Ingram ; Christina and (Andrew) Bonds; Audra and (Kendal) Osborne; Meridith Ingram ; 10 great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Madison Phillips; Ryan and Sarah Prescott; Isabella and Jonah Rosecrants; Aaron and Cadence Bonds; Grayson and Cameron Ingram . He has one surviving sister, Eva Mae Davis of Gallup, NM.
Preceding him in death was his wife of 60 years, Bertha; his parents; six sisters and two brothers.Memorials were made to the Bethel Baptist Church Building Fund, 1717 W. Lindsey Street, Norman, OK 73069.
